Sony's next entry in the "Play, Create, Share" genre is drawing near. ModNation Racers is launching simultaneously on PS3 and PSP on May 25. Both versions of the game will feature a career mode, online multiplayer and a track editor. Fallout developer Brian Fargo is going back to his roots, announcing today that Bethesda has picked up his new dungeon crawler Hunted: Demon's Forge. Described as "third-person co-op fantasy action game," it is being developed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Developed by Fargo's inXile Entertainment, it will be more like Gears of War than Demon's Souls in its emphasis on taking cover against enemy attacks. Bethesda emphasized Fargo's experience with fantasy games in their release, noting his work on The Bard's Tale and Baldur's Gate.

After a rocky launch period, EA assures us via Twitter that the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 online servers should now be finally stable. ModNation Racers has come a long way since the release of its public beta last year. Since then, Sony San Diego Studios and United Front Games have expanded the franchise quite a bit, adding a number of new creation tools, four-player split-screen support and even a PSP counterpart. It would appear that finger skating is about to go "pro" with a Tony Hawk game for iPhone. The pro skater recently tweeted, "In the PR world, this is considered 'going rogue,' but I'm too excited. This is real & dropping soon." The attached picture, as you can see above, appears to be an iPhone version of his venerable skating series. The long-awaited Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is finally available on the U.S. Virtual Console. If you haven't already broken down and picked up Dracula X Chronicles for the PlayStation Portable, you can get it along with two new WiiWare games and four DSiWare titles.
The version we're getting is apparently the untranslated Japanese original, because the opening cutscene features Japanese characters. There isn't much in the way of Japanese in the rest of the game though, so don't worry about overcomplicated menus. It's available for 900 Wii Points ($9).
