Pictured here are the turn-based battle mode, which appears to only become available in the returning Olympus Coliseum world, and some sort of board game that seems to be the player's main method for improving attributes and learning new abilities.

Ubisoft has revealed their schedule for PAX, which includes a "sneak peek" at a new downloadable game.
Titled Outland, Ubisoft's new game is currently under-development for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. No word on what the game will entail, but it may be related to the upcoming remake of the 1981 science fiction film.
Other games that will appear at the show include Child of Eden and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

A year and a half! Why, that was long before the December release of Mr. Dogg's chart-topping "Malice N Wonderland." How the times have changed!

Zur Detail-Ansicht...Uber Entertainment has announced that a big Monday Night Combat patch has entered testing and will soon be ready for certification. The title update is set to fix several issues with the game, notably the ability for players to damage Moneyball shields, and host migration problems. Several classes will receive tweaks as well, with the brunt going to the Support and Assassin. Devious Support players will be displeased to know they won't be able to hack through walls anymore, while Assassins will be happy to hear that grapples won't take as long to recharge after a whiff.

Zur Detail-Ansicht...In a move that no adoption agency would ever endorse, Playdom has basically killed off Acclaim just a few months after acquiring it, as Gamasutra reports. Acclaim's site says that all of its online games have been shut down as of August 26 and unused "Acclaim Coins" are being refunded. A couple of games, Kogamu and RockFREE, will continue to live on under the Playdom banner.
Playdom was bought a month ago by Disney which apparently had little interest in continuing to support Acclaim titles like 9Dragons. Though we can't claim to be big fans of any of their MMOs -- and can't really say...

Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, a downloadable prologue to next month's full-blown zombie plague, introduces new protagonist and dedicated father Chuck Greene.
